Belleplain Fall Century - Saturday October 4, 2008

Belleplain State Forest - Route 550 - Woodbine, NJ

Enjoy a late season century ride through the flat and scenic southern New Jersey forests and small towns. The ride has two separate loops that start and end at Belleplain State Forest. You can wind your way through Cape May and Cumberland counties and rest at the scenic East Point Lighthouse on the Delaware Bay. The morning loop has a 35 or a 50 mile loop. The afternoon loop has a 28 or a 50 mile loop. The two loops can be combined for a Metric Century (63 mi.) or a Full Century (100 mi.). Registration opens at 7:30 am. Rides start at 8:00 am. SAG support ends at 5:00 pm. HELMETS REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS !

Registration Fee is $25.

Your registration fee includes lunch, refreshments, ride sheets and SAG support. Shore Cycle Club members receive a $5. discount. Those who register before September 20, 2008 will receive a FREE LONG SLEEVE T-SHIRT !

Belleplain State Forest is located north of Woodbine in Cape May County, New Jersey.

DIRECTIONS FROM PHILADELPHIA

Take the Atlantic City Expressway east to the Hammonton exit (Exit 28).  Head south on Rt. 54 to Route 40.  Make a left onto Rt. 40 and go to the next light and make a right onto Rt. 557(Tuckahoe Rd.).  Continue to the intersection of Route 50 and make a right.  Continue south on Route 50 to Route 610 (Dennisville-Petersburg Road.)  Make a right at Route 610, continue to the intersection of Route 550.  Make a right and follow the signs to Belleplain State Forest.

DIRECTIONS FROM NEW JERSEY COASTAL AREAS

FROM THE SOUTH : Take the Garden State Parkway to exit 20 (Route 50). Make a left at the end of the ramp (traffic light) onto Route 9. Continue south to the intersection of Route 550 (Woodbine-Ocean View Road.)  Make a left onto Route 550 and follow signs to Belleplain.

FROM THE NORTH : Take the Garden State Parkway to exit 17 (Sea Isle City). Make a left at the bottom of the ramp onto Sea Isle Blvd.  Go to the traffic light (Route 9) and turn right. Continue north to the intersection of Route 550 (Woodbine-Ocean View Road.)  Make a left onto Route 550 and follow signs to Belleplain.
